PCB decides to hire Pakistan Army doctors for each PSL-7 team: sources

News sources said that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to hire Pakistan Army doctors for each team participating in the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 7.

Sources said that a doctor of Pakistan Army Medical Corps would be a part of every squad of PSL teams. Similarly, in the ICCT20 World Cup, players and officials from each of the PSL teams will have to undergo rapid antigen testing at the hotel on a daily basis.

Strict measures will be taken to curb the spread of COVID-19 during the mega event, sources said, adding that it would not be possible to perform PCR test every day.


Army doctors will be responsible for recording athletes' health tests and temperatures. Sources added that he was also kept during PSL-6.


Informed sources said that according to the COVID-19 protocol announced by the PCB, domestic and foreign players cannot be quarantined for the entire week before the league.

Sources said that players with two negative tests in a week will be allowed to enter the biosecure bubble.
