Sindh Bar Secretary General killed in attack in Gulistan-e-Jauhar area of Karachi
According to law enforcement Irfan Mehr's car was shot dead in Gulistan-e-Jauhar Block 13. Irfan Ali Mehr was being transported to hospital when he died on the way.
According to the police, the accused had been chasing him for a long time and seeing a safe target for themselves, they fired at Irfan's car one after the other and easily escaped from there but they were caught on CCTV camera. The picture will come as a result of which Irfan was seriously injured and will lose his life while going to the hospital.
According to Irfan's close friend, he was 45 years old and was living in Gulistan-e-Jauhar.And in the car, after dropping her daughter off at school,he was hit by two men on a motorcycle on the way back.According to the friend, he had no enmity with anyone, but so far the police have not been able to say anything.
Police have also received CCTV footage of the shooting death of a Sectary SINDH BAR COUNCEL in Gulistan-e-Jauhar. In the video, the accused can be seen wearing helmets and the accused can be seen firing on the vehicle.
Expressing his indignation, the Sindh Chief Minister directed the Chief of Police to arrest the killers within 24 hours and at the same time directed that Karachi should be made peaceful so that people could move from one place to another with out any fear.
SSP East Qamar Raza Jaskani said that Irfan Ali Mehr along with his nephew were safe in the car at the time of firing incident. Irfan Mehr was hit by 3 bullets.
The Karachi Bar has strongly condemned the incident and General Secretary Karachi Bar Association Amir Nawaz Warraich has demanded that the killer of Irfan Ali Mehr be arrested and punished also Karachi Bar announces boycott of courts today over Irfan Ali Mehr's murder.
