Government ally MQM positively demands withdrawal of PICA Ordinance.
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) coalition party MQM Pakistan also demanded that Prime Minister Imran Khan withdraw the Prevention of Electronic Crime Act (PICA) Ordinance.
Aminul Haq, a federal minister from the MQM, said in a statement on the PICA ordinance that Prime Minister Imran Khan should listen to the protests against the PICA Amendment Act.
Amin-ul-Haq said that the Prime Minister should start consultations with the media and civil society on the PICA Amendment Act and withdraw the PICA Ordinance immediately.
It may be recalled that Attorney General Barrister Khalid Javed Khan while briefing Prime Minister Imran Khan on the PICA Ordinance had said that the PICA Ordinance could not be implemented in the present situation.
